Black Clay and Alebrijes

This tour includes a visit to Doña Sandra's family workshop in San Bartolo Coyotepec, where they will explain the process of making black clay pottery, from extraction from the mine to the final products, which are on display for those who wish to purchase them at better prices than in the markets. Afterward, we travel to the community of San Martín Tilcajete, where we will visit the alebrije workshop of Jacobo and María Ángeles. There is also a guided tour of the entire production process, followed by an exhibition at the end of the tour.
An optional visit to the Almú restaurant, located in the same community, is available. Almú is known for its open-air kitchen and traditional Oaxacan dishes.
The cost per person is $1,300.00 MX and lasts approximately 4 hours. We start at 9:00 am at the meeting point located at Av. de la Independencia 1300, Centro, 68000 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax. It includes transportation, a guide, and a translator (Spanish-English).
