This experience is only available during the Day of the Dead season in Oaxaca, from October 28th to 31st, the same dates when Oaxacan families build their altars. The activities we will do include:

- A visit to a field of marigolds (the flower of the Day of the Dead), where you will learn about the planting and cultivation process for this celebration, and we will also purchase the flowers needed for our altar.

- A visit to a traditional bakery in an Oaxacan community, where we will buy the emblematic bread of this season, along with a brief explanation of its importance in this tradition.

- We will arrive at the home of an Oaxacan family, where we will begin building the altar to welcome our departed loved ones, along with an explanation of the meanings of each of the elements we will add and the option of including photographs of your family members on our altar. Finally, we'll enjoy some seasonal cuisine, along with hot chocolate with bread and a complimentary mezcal.

This activity costs $2,200.00 MX per person and includes transportation, food, drinks, a guide, and a Spanish-English translator. It lasts approximately 5 hours, starting at 8:00 am at the meeting point located at Av. de la Independencia 1300, Centro, 68000 Oaxaca de Juárez, Oaxaca.
